Flagship Project
In my current role, I built a streamlined, low-code workflow that consolidates and automates key steps in our animal return process.
This system replaces multiple manual communications with a single standardized form and generates real-time diversion data for reporting and operational planning.
One Simple Form
This return form serves as the entry point of the automated workflow. Any staff member can submit it, which reduces training needs, improves consistency, and ensures accurate data capture from the beginning of the return process.
Below are the key components of the automated workflow, including the process logic, communication outputs, and dataset interfaces used for scheduling, visibility, and reporting.
Automated rules that trigger email notifications, CC routing, preventative and medical flags, and data storage.
Built using low-code tools that can be replicated in Airtable, Smartsheet, Jotform, or similar platforms.
The standardized email sent to Animal Care and Medical teams.
This replaces multiple manual messages and ensures complete, consistent, and legible communication.
Return and diversion submissions populate automatically into a structured dataset.
Enables sorting, filtering, and high-level visibility across incoming returns.
Calendar view shows scheduled returns in an easily readable format.
Improves workflow coordination for teams responsible for intake, care, and medical planning.
All of the data is securely stored and can be organized for other projects and automations, or exported to a spreadsheet for reporting, business planning, and long-term trend analysis.
Raw data is captured instantly from each submission.
Data is easily exportable to CSV or Excel.
I redesigned our return process using low-code automation, removing 4–5 manual steps and saving 7–12 minutes per return.
The new system centralizes data, standardizes communication, and generates our first diversion dataset for reporting and planning.

Length of Stay (LOS) Project
I designed and led the LOS project, developing the Trello board, facilitating meetings, and directing team workflow. This initiative strengthened collaboration and supported faster placement strategies for long-stay animals.
Adoption & Return Metrics Dashboard
I built an interactive dashboard that visualizes weekly adoptions and return trends for the fiscal year, making it easy to identify patterns and monitor program performance. The tool also helped generate accurate projections for the upcoming fiscal year based on real-time data trends.
Foster Diversion Impact Analysis
I conducted a statistical analysis of foster and return data from the previous fiscal year to measure how foster placement impacts the likelihood of an animal being returned. The results helped identify key diversion opportunities and informed our approach to reducing shelter returns.
